[DG] {Zalika} Emotional Explanation - Fjura - 09-13-2019

Fjura tal-Mewk

Fjura had been enjoying the quiet life within the kingdom. It was nice to be a part of a group without living in fear, being ordered like a slave, without seeing… terrible horrible things every day. Plus, she had… a friend, Zalika. The woman was kind and understanding. Fjura was beginning to feel things… about everything, but she felt funny when she thought of Zalika. It was a warm and… comforting feeling, but also a fluttery feeling. It was strange to Fjura.

She was walking back to her home from the grove, her house was within view before her vision went dark and she stood still, a confused look on her face. However her face looked horrified as the dark vision appeared into her mind.

Fjura and Zalika were walking through the meadows, bodies touching each other gently when on the horizon King Katavri and Right Hand Man Kranju came walking towards them. Katavri questioned Fjura on the location of Siekta, Genna (Xewk), and Helu. Fjura turned to Zalika to see her confusion. Fjura lied to the King trying to protect them. She attempted to send them to the south away from the Kingdom. At that moment Siekta appeared in the distance, and the King spotted him and sent Kranju after him. Fjura attacked Kranju letting Siekta get away. Zalika attacked the King for trying to kidnap a Kingdom member. Fjura was winning the fight against Kranju and killed him... but Zalika, was not winning. Katavri was overpowering her. He… killed her. Fjura let out a cry full of pain and sorrow and the vision ended.

Fjura had tears slowly falling down her face. She was not known to have daydreams… or out of body experiences like this. What could this mean? Perhaps she had a fever? Whatever this was, it sparked something in Fjura. She practically felt that pain and sorrow… and she needed to see Zalika now. She needed to check on her, and make sure she was okay. What was going on with her?

Fjura walked to her house, called out for Zalika and then walked into her house hoping Zalika would come. Perhaps Zalika would understand the feelings going on. Perhaps she could explain them better.

Zalika had been traveling outside of the realm for sometime. She had been looking for something to do - something that could ease her anxious energy. As she had traveled, she hadn't realized that she would come across the dead body of a ball python. She paused over it, knowing that her power to reanimate the dead would fail upon the snake. The snake was no small creature. She studied it, hoping to find a possible reason for the death. As she studied it, she hadn't realized that she used ghoul to bring it to life. Sharing life force with the snake obviously had its costs. But as it flicked its tongue, slithering upon her shoulders, just as her scalelesss snake companion did, Zalika didn't much care.

She traveled home, heading toward the peninsula when she heard the howl. Her ears flicked, her head tilting slightly because she know the voice that called for her. It was also a good thing that Zalika had a wolf for a mother.

Zalika headed toward where the howl had originated from. Once she was there, the jaguar could tell that there was something wrong with Fjura. Her eyes narrowed as she moved quickly toward her. "Fjura?" Her voice was soft as she blinked at the female wolf. "Is there something the matter?" Had something happened while she had been away? Her snake companion flicked its tongue but otherwise waited for instructions from its master.

RE: [DG] {Zalika} Emotional Explanation - Fjura - 10-25-2019

Fjura tal-Mewk

Zalika had walked into her house, but Fjura did not care in the least. Once Fjura saw Zalika it felt like a weight was lifted off of her, Zalika looked okay, and even sporting a new undead companion. She had been too focused staring at Zalika that her words took a second to actually register. "I… I am… glad your safe.” Fjura then shook her head as if trying to come to her senses. ” Sorry… that makes no sense to you. I am not sure what is going on with me. I just.. I had a… dream? Or.. walking nightmare? I blacked out suddenly while standing and.. You… you got hurt and it felt so real and… I suppose I panicked.”

Fjura sat down on the ground in her house, her ears drooping slightly from embarrassment, her cheeks flushed. "I was worried about you… I suppose that is silly over a dream though...” Fjura wasn’t sure that was an actual dream however. She has never before done something like that. Felt more like some sort of weird omen. Did she even believe in those things? Apparently so if it dealt with Zalika, she wanted to protect her.

"I am sorry to have bothered you over something so silly Zalika." Fjura after seeing Zalika was completely fine felt embarrassed that she was still shaken from the nightmare, that she was so worked up over it.

Zalika Dame

She studied the wolf, obviously being able to notice the distraught facial features that she sported. Zalika wasn't sure what had exactly happened but whatever it was, it had freaked her friend out. She kept quiet, letting Fjura work through the ragged emotions that she must be feeling. The jaguar was no dummy. She understood that Fjura had been stunted in a way. She might be slightly older, but in this regard, she was like a three month old pup. Patience was key and Zalika was very much aware of it. How could she not? She was from a fairly large family. There were young siblings that she had to help take care of here and there. So, it meant that Zalika knew how to handle such things.

"Just take a deep breath," the jaguar said, her voice soothing and calm. She didn't know if there was such a thing as a walking nightmare. That you could be aware one minute and on the floor the next with a terrible image in your mind. But from what Fjura was talking about, it clearly was that. She'd wait until she was certain that Fjura had gotten herself under control. She would wait here all day if she needed to. Her ears were perked, even as she listened to what the other female had to offer. So whatever it had been, it had something to do with the jaguar.

She tilted her head but didn't disregard the obvious fear that Fjura had emitted. The undead snake flicked its tongue out as it continued to settle itself against its mater's shoulder. There had been no command and so, it merely observed. "Nothing is silly. Please do your best to remember that." She gave a soft smile. "Now, then, this dream of yours. They usually stem for something hidden well into the subconscious. So, it could mean that you are afraid that you might not be able to protect someone that is important to you." Zalika sounded older than her years. But it was only because she had the same problem. Except, it didn't come to her in dreams, necessarily. It was a trauma - abandoned twice by two mothers.

It was why she had desperately followed after Sive and allowed herself to be taken into a realm that she knew was bad. It was only because she could not lose her last mother. "Don't be afraid of your dreams, Fjura. Welcome them; they are trying to teach you something."

RE: [DG] {Zalika} Emotional Explanation - Fjura - 11-16-2019

Fjura tal-Mewk

Fjura was well aware of her issues with emotion, she felt as if he was drowning trying to figure things out. It was quite confusing, but Zalika was patient with her, and for that she was thankful.

‘Just take a deep breath.’

Fjura did as instructed, and it made her feel much better. She was good at following instructions, though it felt less commanding coming from Zalika. Zalika's words were warm, inviting, and calming, all of which Fjura liked. Absorbing the rest of Zalika’s words caused Fjura to nod mindlessly. Though she was trying to understand what her friend was saying. Well, she could understand English, but… anything having to deal with emotions, things got complicated, and confusing. Fjura could react to things, not quite understanding the emotion behind them, the reason, the drive. "Applying… that thought process, would mean I was afraid to lose you, my important person?” She looked at Zalika as she tilted her head. To those who didn’t know Fjura, that may have sounded like a confession, but to Fjura, she was trying to work though the thought process before even addressing the emotional part. She was completely oblivious to the fact that her words could be taken in a different direction.

Zalika continued to give her words of wisdom, Fjura listening, trying her hardest to not only absorb them, but apply them to her thought process. She was lucky Zalika seemed to be so patient with her, as when it came to processing emotions, it sometimes took Fjura a bit longer to respond to things than what would be considered ‘normal’. Zalika said to not be afraid of her dreams, that they were trying to teach her something. What in the world was it trying to say then? Should Fjura have told the truth to Katavri about the location of everyone? No… Fjura liked it here, here was happier and safer with a far less death count than back home. Fjura did not want to follow Katavri’s orders anymore. She was not aware that the king of her past was dead, to Fjura, he was very much alive still.

So… what was she supposed to have learned? She was stumped, but she was also determined to solve this ‘puzzle’. Zalika’s words kept replaying in her head. ‘Welcome them.’ Welcome…… Gladly receive them? Perhaps… thought wasn’t going to assist her? Perhaps she should just act? ”Act on my subconscious thoughts?” Now she just felt like she was grasping at straws trying to marry the different pieces of advice that Zalika gave her. Fjura furrowed her brows confused as she felt like she was getting lost in loops, "Welcome them?”

After probably a few moments of Fjura just standing perfectly still, thinking through things, she finally moved. The part of the dream that left Fjura wondering, was the beginning, her and Zalika were walking closely. Was she supposed to learn something from that? Maybe? But what? She wasn’t sure what she would learn from that… however a little part of her brain just kept nagging at her saying ‘just do it.’ Why not?

Fjura would attempt to circle around Zalika so they were facing the same way. If all went well, she then would attempt to walk up against Zalika’s right side, pressing the left side of her body into Zalika’s right side. Fjura of course would be mindful of the snake, as not to injure it. Finally she would softly admit in an embarrassed tone, "I am unsure if I am welcoming the dream correctly.”

RE: [DG] {Zalika} Emotional Explanation - Zalika - 12-06-2019

Zalika Dame

She could see the wheels turning in Fjura's head. She remained silent, allowing the wolf to work through what the female jaguar had told her. She could only assume from what she was told and what she witnessed from her own eyes, Fjura hadn't been exposed to a lot of different things. She didn't react the same way that a creature would if they had been raised by someone that loved them. Of course, Zalika's young life hadn't been super great, seeing as she had been abandoned twice by two different mothers. So it meant that she greedily held onto the one mother that had stayed. It was why she had followed after Sive the second that she had been taken, not caring about her own safety because she'd been afraid of being alone.

So, no, Zalika had her own scars. But she could see that her scars paled in comparison to the treatment that Fjura had possibly gone through. Her heart clenched and she desired to reach out to her. However, at the same time, she didn't want to spook her friend if she wasn't ready for that sort of contact with another creature. She had to go slow and open her up in spurts and not all at once. That was what she believed and that was how she was going to proceed. Fjura's unsure voice caught her attention and Zalika immediately focused her gaze upon her. She hadn't thought that she was the important creature and then she remembered that Fjura had mentioned that she was part of the dream. Well, crap. "That could be a very real possibility. What do you think? Are you afraid of losing me?" She was bold and that meant she wasn't afraid to ask questions that others might shy from. That was not how she was raised.

She let the silence befall them again as Fjura returned back to thinking things over. It wasn't until she heard the wolf speak again, confused about welcoming them, that Zalika was prepared to answer any and all questions that she had. Before she had a chance to ask her if she was confused about something, the wolf was suddenly pressed against her. Well, okay, that was unexpected, but not unwelcome. She couldn't help the wide smile that pulled the corners of her lips upwards. The unsure statement that Fjura provided was adorable. "I think I'm missing some pieces of your dream." She turned her head slightly to the right so she would be able to look more fully at Fjura. The snake upon her shoulders moved slightly, pulling itself up more on the jaguar owner. "So, from this, I take it we were close in the dream? Do I understand that correctly?" If so, Zalika couldn't honestly tell her the reason. Okay, no, flat out lie. There was something that crossed her mind but I don't think Fjura would be able to handle the possibility of what her subconscious mind was attempting to tell her.

She needed to be eased into emotion after ignoring it for so long. So, Zalika was going to have the patience of a saint. Okay, also not true. But she did have extraordinary patience because she had many younger siblings that she helped take care of here and there.

RE: [DG] {Zalika} Emotional Explanation - Fjura - 12-08-2019

Fjura tal-Mewk

Fjura’s eyes remained trained on the female jaguar as she spoke.

‘That could be a very real possibility. What do you think? Are you afraid of losing me?’

Zalika was the only person Fjura knew that she felt alright with allowing herself to attempt to feel emotions on the spot. She was the only person that Fjura was close to… frankly she basically the only person Fjura interacted with. Fjura’s face fell into a slight pout. "I don’t enjoy thinking about it, no.” She was trying to say yes that she was afraid of such a thing, but it didn’t come out how she wanted it to. Her face pouting slightly more at her frustration with expressing herself, she decided explaining things may perhaps be the best way to approach things. "You are the closest person to me that I have ever had… I am unsure what I would do if I did lose you.” It was one hundred percent honest, and to Fjura, though her words may have been delivered in her usual informative tone, her ears dipped slightly, giving away that the words held emotion behind them as well. That was, if her semi pouting face wasn’t already obvious enough.

Fjura’s eyes rested on Zalika’s lips as the other woman smiled. Fjura didn’t notice the corner’s of her own lips slightly pulling up. She liked when Zalika smiled, but smiling meant happiness, so why was Zalika smiling. And why so largely? Was she particularly happy about something? Her mind and eyes were focused on the other woman’s facial expression when she had spoke.

‘I think I'm missing some pieces of your dream.’

Fjura’s eyes peeled away from Zalika’s mouth and focused on her eyes. Had… she not given her all of the information? Well… that was very unlike her to have done that. Though she did have a bit of an eventful day so far.

‘So, from this, I take it we were close in the dream? Do I understand that correctly?’

Fjura nodded once in confirmation before speaking, "Yes, that is correct. We were walking this closely in the dream. Well… perhaps, not exactly this close, due to us both using our limbs to move in the dream. But it was very close to this.” Fjura maintained their closeness to one another, she saw no need to move away, even though her explanation was done. Though she did have a question. "Zalika?” She made sure her blue eyes were focused on the other woman’s mismatched orbs. "Did me getting closer bring you happiness?” Fjura’s head tilted slightly, "You smiled about the same time.” Fjura could not think of any other reason Zalika would have suddenly started to smile at that exact point in time. And, if being close caused Zalika to smile, then perhaps Fjura should do it more often? Or allow Zalika to approach when she wanted?... Now why would Fjura suddenly be happy with that idea.

RE: [DG] {Zalika} Emotional Explanation - Zalika - 01-15-2020

Zalika Dame

She remained in silence, letting Fjura work through her demons on her own. If she needed Zalika's assistance, the jaguar was not afraid to give it. She'd not deny her friend information. She knew that Fjura was stunted in the development of her emotions and understanding them. She didn't know what sort of upbringing the wolf had but it probably wasn't a good one. Why stunt someone from having their own thoughts? For being allowed to follow what their heart desired? That was why she was certain that Fjura was acting like a baby that was first learning what life outside of the den had to offer. Not that she believed it to be any sort of particular bad thing. "I'll try hard in not going anywhere," Zalika said, because she would never make a complete promise that she would probably not be able to keep. Sometimes, life did things that screwed up the path that one was walking on. "That is all I can give you because I won't make a full promise that might be impossible in keeping."

Silence fell on them again, Zalika observing the wolf. She could see the way that her features would move, though they were seriously small twitches of a facial muscle. The jaguar was able to see that Fjura had flicked her eyes to her mouth, though she didn't call her out on it. She'd have to go slow in the department of teasing, even if that slow turtle like pace killed her.

Her ears flicked the second that Fjura started to speak, agreeing that Zalika understood it so far. When she said that they were this close, sort of, because they had been walking, she nodded. The second that the female wolf spoke the question, the corners of the jaguar's lips twitched higher. "You are smart," she began, her voice light and teasing, "I am sure you will be able to figure it out. You basically have, anyway. What do you think? What have you learned?" Certainly, Fjura getting closer had brought her happiness. But she wanted Fjura to make interpretations about such things on her own.

RE: [DG] {Zalika} Emotional Explanation - Fjura - 02-09-2020

Fjura tal-Mewk

I'll face myself, To cross out what I've become
Erase myself, And let go of what I've done

Fjura kept her trained eyes on Zalika as she spoke.

‘I'll try hard in not going anywhere. That is all I can give you because I won't make a full promise that might be impossible in keeping.’

Zalika’s comforting words made Fjura smile softly. "Thank you. I appreciate your honesty.” She did appreciate the fact Zalika made it a point to clearly state she couldn’t fully promise that. Fjura had not missed Zalika’s mouth twitch upwards more at the ending of her question. So, that was a yes? It had to be a yes.

‘You are smart. I am sure you will be able to figure it out. You basically have, anyway. What do you think? What have you learned?’

Fjura paused for a moment before answering, blue eyes gently gazing at Zalika’s mismatched eyes, "Considering you just smiled again Zalika, I believe that at least something I am doing brings you joy. That, makes me happy. As for what I have learned? About you? Well, you are a bright, attractive, kind, woman who is skilled in magic. Plus, you have the patience to deal with someone like me, who has… issues… with emotional based topics and understanding them.” Fjura looked down towards Zalika’s mouth again and spoke, "I can feel things, I just… do not always understand what they mean. Though, I can act upon said things I am feeling.... I do know this though, I know that your smile makes me want to smile and makes me feel warm.” Her blue eyes looked back up at Zalika’s, a bit of warmth could be read from them. Fjura wasn't exactly sure the word she would put on what she was feeling, though she felt... fuzzy, warm, and just felt like remaining close to Zalika.

RE: [DG] {Zalika} Emotional Explanation - Zalika - 02-09-2020

Zalika Dame

The comforting weight of the python moved, settling itself once again into a comfortable position. It still waited for any sort of command from its master. The undead's tongue continued to flick as the two females talked. Zalika had honestly forgotten about the python, despite the fact that she did feel more tired because of the use of it. She glanced toward the side, to see the face of the undead python as it flicked its tongue. She didn't want to stress Fjura out by continuously staring at her, so she gave her a moment to herself to think. Honestly, Zalika's patience should be that of a saint's. But there had been so many siblings that Zalika had merely adopted that sort of personality. She was calm, steady in her life and where she was wanting it to go.

Her eyes turned from her undead toward the wolf when she started to speak. Each word that came from her mouth seemed like it was carefully thought out. Her statement was factual, Zalika understood that. But it didn't mean the compliments didn't make her happy either. Giving a sort of huff of a laugh, her smile almost started to widen. It actually hadn't been what Zalika had been asking. Though, she did know that everyone could interpret things differently. And it seemed that Fjura had believed that Zalika had been asking about herself.

Not that it was unwelcome. The jaguar merely left it at that, without correcting the wolf in what she really wanted to know. "I do thank you for the compliments," she said, her voice warm and slightly teasing. She knew that she had to move slow in opening Fjura up to the possibility of understanding more emotions. She was quite aware that Fjura was able to feel them, she just couldn't identify what they were or what she was supposed to do with them.

"Seeing my happiness," Zalika said with confidence, "brings you happiness. That is the reason that you wish to smile when I do. It is a natural reaction between those that are close." She paused, her head tilting, that teasing grin still plastered to her face. "I want nothing more than the happiness for my siblings, for my friends, my mother and extended family. And that includes you. I want you to be happy, Fjura. Find what makes you happy and hold onto it." Because it could be ripped from you without you even knowing. Zalika was very much aware of the loss and heartbreak of losing something that they had been closed to.
