"DON'T TELL ME I'M OVERREACTING WHEN YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THE HELL I'VE BEEN THROUGH"

Kallisto wasn't entirely sure what to do now. Akeela was gone, they seemed to be losing members and the realm was just too small in general. The bear didn't see it like it was a good idea to keep going anymore, hell, if someone were to come and try and take the realm, they probably wouldn't be able to defend it.

When her and Perses called for rogues in order to get more recruits, no one showed. It wan't necessarily a good idea to go on anymore in the bears eyes. Rather find somewhere else they could merge with and that be it. Speaking of which, she raised her head high and released call for Perses. It was time to figure this all out and make a plan.

She most of all thought about Evander in this situation. If someone were to come, she was afraid of not being able to protect her child. Kallisto knew her child needed somewhere safer to grow up, which for now was not the Legion. Eyes turning towards the ground, she sat and waited. What would he think? Would he even agree or go against it completely? At that point she might go find somewhere else, then call a meeting, and leave. She wouldn't risk her child.

Perses was patrolling the Legion's borders. He was troubled as he realized how few members they had. At this point, he was sure the amount of children was equal to if not outnumbered the number of adults. They had so few in their ranks.

The crimson-eyed King wanted to keep pushing through. He hoped things would get better. How had those other realms risen up if not to start off with few members. But it had been a year. And they had already lost their Queen. He hoped they could hang on. That they could hang on through this rough patch with so few members and blossom into a strong realm. He had helped found the Legion, refined the ideas Akeela had had. The beast became King and he was proud of that title.

The cream and chocolate wolf heard the call of his queen. The beast loped over, dipping his head as he came into view. What did she want? Was there something wrong? Did she just want to talk? He hoped it was the last option

"Kallisto?" The wolf asked. "Is something wrong?" He hoped she would shake her head and say it was just a chat. He stopped six feet away from her, standing directly in front of her. They were equals after all.

"DON'T TELL ME I'M OVERREACTING WHEN YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THE HELL I'VE BEEN THROUGH"

It didn't take too long for the King to show, looking up at him as he arrived. Kallisto knew that surprise callings like this almost always worried someone hence his words. The bear had a sigh as she looked away. "Actually yes, I believe we have an immediate issue that requires attention." Her eyes returned to meet his as she had a feeling he already knew what this was about. "With as little members as we do and all the children we have in our ranks, I do believe it is becoming unsafe. We have hardly enough adults to protect them, and if something were to happen, well, who knows."

It was left a loose end as she supposed he could finish the thought himself. "The Legion is rather weak currently. We have no rogues showing up to join and even when we called, none showed up then either. We are losing members and the numbers are dwindling. I do believe it is about time we come up with a plan to go somewhere else when the Legion can no longer stand on its own." Kallisto stared at him, eyes hard and a very serious expression on her face.

Perses was worried. Did Anastasia do something? Where did they find her this time? He had been fortunate to be able to track her down though did the Queen find her this time? However, Investigator told him this wasn't; she didn't carry any scent of the winter girl.

The crimson-eyed King had been fretting about the issue she presented as well. He could already see where this was leading to. But he didn't want to say it. To say it, he felt it would be giving up on Akeela's dream. Wherever she was, he hoped she would come back. This probably wasn't an easy decision for Kallisto either, seeing as Akeela was her mate.

And then the Bear Queen spoke the words he couldn't bear to think about. He had helped build the Legion with Akeela. He had been given a purpose by the Legion, a new life that led to so many things such as his current family. And the man he had become was shaped by the Legion.

He sat down.

But, the Bear Queen had a point. They had little to defend themselves but he didn't think the Queen would just disolve the Legion and leave their members to their own devices.

The beast thought for a good few minutes. One could see the gears turning in his brain. The only thing he could think of was attempting to have them join another realm.

"We can't just dissolve the Legion and let everyone fend for themselves," the beast said evenly as he he could. He was her equal and he would make his point. Abaddon's words of "Fight every battle in your mind" played in his head. He took a moment to think. She wanted a plan. He would give her a plan.

"The Legion could be absorbed into another realm.." The beast said. "There's so few of us, it may not be too difficult as we only have you and I, Valravn, Bulf, Iris, Kenya, and Rynumen, Randavae,..." The beast wanted to say Akeela but they hadn't seen her in ages. "...and the children." He remembered his meetings with other realms. He considered each one as he spoke.

"I have met the Queen of the Vipera realm at our borders and...while she seemed okay, they do not seem to share our values." Perses guessed Loyalty was the only one they seemed to have. Using Projection, Perses would attempt to show Kallisto the memory of the Vipera Queen telling him their values*. He wasn't sure they would fit in. But, they seemed on fair terms* but his mind was considering other options already.

"There's a feline realm in the south across the pass and they don't seem particularly friendly." He was just going to state that. He wasn't sure if they were the right fit for that realm, thinking back to meeting them. And would they accept other creatures?

"I know of a realm known as Kamar-Taj, where the healer Ratonhakke:ton is from but I think the beast that stole my necklace is from that realm." The beast explained his reasoning. A realm that sheltered a violent thief? That wouldn't be a good fit.

"That leaves us with The Kingdom. Perhaps we might be accepted into the Valkyrja Army as we fight to protect others. Re- Commander Regalia...she cast me from their ranks but we seem to be on good terms* still. She might accept new fighters and the Kingdom would accept our children. Queen Frigga and King Xewk have met Akeela and taken in a koala child found on our borders to raise because we couldn't raise her ourselves. We still may be on good terms." The beast spoke quickly as he considered.

But then he thought of how he had left the Kingdom a year ago and founded a realm. And how would he look running back to the Kingdom after the Legion failed? What would Xewk think? Regalia? Frigga? He hadn't made a good impression in his youth but perhaps they would see how he'd grown. After all, the most difficult thing was to ask for help. Though it would be even worse for him to not suggest the best option out of pride.

Perses knew this would hurt him to see the Legion fall. But, he swore in oath to serve the realm as best he could. Even if it hurt him, he would make the best choice.

"However, if we decide to dissolve the Legion and join another, we should call a meeting and announce where we will be attempting to go to, but give our members the option to go to another realm if they please." The beast knew this was unspoken but she told him to give her a plan. This was his plan.

He stopped for a moment. He spoke in a small whisper.

"What if Akeela came back to find the Legion gone?" The beast knew it was a hard question, but he wanted to ask it.

"DON'T TELL ME I'M OVERREACTING WHEN YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THE HELL I'VE BEEN THROUGH"

The bear cared not for the hurt it would bring them as leaders to disband the realm, even the humiliation. She looked to the members and focused on their safety. Kallisto would rather protect everyone and their wills, but this time she saw there was no other option. The best idea was to put it all down on the table and find a solution. Plus, if Akeela came back she was sure she'd find them, no matter what. The bear would come back here as much as she can and leave some of her scent. It was the only way she knew how to keep hope without burying and destroying it completely.

She listened to all Perses had to suggest. Nodding her head and taking everything in account. However, she had to wonder if thats what he thought she meant. To leave everyone to fend for themselves? No, she was sure it was obvious they'd call a meeting and speak to the members about it. He suggested what she had already been thinking of, nodding her head as she listened when he spoke about all the other realms. The first three sounded very unsuitable, a frown crossing her face as he spoke about them. The projection showed his encounter with the feline at the borders, head nodding as she came back to reality.

Apparently the last option left was the Kingdom, he was cast from their ranks apparently so. Head tilting as she thought about it, should she ask? Kallisto decided to leave the story to the air and let it be, she didn't need to know the story that came with it.

"I agree with everything you have said, I actually was previously thinking of being taken into another realm as well, I just didn't have such the knowledge of them that you have. None of them seem very suitable besides this Kingdom you speak about. I do agree with the meeting, as I already thought that would be just a bit obvious- I would hate to leave members without anybody." Kallisto tossed him a short glance before looking away, the question hit a soft spot and she waited a few moments to reply.

"I will come back here often, however, I do think Akeela would agree with it. We don't have the capabilities of protecting the realm any further, she'd understand. And if she does come back- like I said I will come back here often, leave scent just in case she does come back. She'll find it- then she can follow it back to wherever we decide to go." Her voice became exceptionally soft when speaking about her mate.

Perses remembered that he had told Akeela his past and why he had been cast from the Kingdom. Kallisto didn't know. The male was an honest man when it came to discussing his past with his fellow leader. Looking back on it all, Regalia stripping him of his rank had allowed him to start the Legion, adopt Anastasia and Pualani, and allowed him to grow into the man he was today.

And now the man would see the realm fall after over a year.

Would they even accept him? And Valravn who basically deserted the Kingdom to follow Perses. But Valravn at least had been a quiet member since his borders incident. Perses had gotten into quite a lot of trouble in the Kingdom. And to leave and start a new realm but come running back when it failed?

But, by the time the she-bear made the selection, the crimson-eyed King had already made up his mind. He would get his family to Gullborg, if they didn't accept him, he hoped they would accept his daughters and Valravn.

The beast heard what Kallisto said about Akeela but he was thinking about what could happen. How would they go about trying to rejoin the Kingdom? What if they weren't accepted back in? Where would they go from there.

The red-eyed beast decided when she finished speaking, he would tell her why he had been cast from the Kingdom. "Akeela knew what happened," the beast said. "It's only fair that you do too." Out of respect and courtesy, he gestured for her to take a seat. It was only proper. Whether or not she did, he began to speak.
"I was brought into the Kingdom not long after I found my way to Yavania. I'd been a lone wolf and I had been under the impression that I could only stay in the Grove, though there were more lands thr Kingdom ruled overm After I'd been found too close to the borders a couple of times, even restraining Valravn to protect the Queen -- yeah that's how we met -- I was sent to see Commander Regalia. Who was my adopted mother, basically; she found me wandering around as a yearling and took me in. She drafted me as the first male member of the Valkyrja until my second winter. When I protested because I didn't want to be forced into something against my will, driven by guilt over my mother's death to fear faliure, and didn't want to upset the way things had been, Regalia assigned me for another season. I wasn't quite sure of my duties...the Kingdom and Yavania was so different from everything I grew up with and I never knew who to ask or no one outlined my duties or other things. After I brought a pup in -- making assumptions as to what happened to her mother -- I think Regalia had enough of me. She called me to her, gave me some drink, asked me if I'd been sparring in the Arena -- after almost dying to that firey horned she-wolf, I wasn't keen to return but I didn't mention that to her -- and she stripped me of my rank and I left." The beast paused for a reflective moment.

"But if Regalia had never stripped me of my rank, I wouldn't be here now. I probably wouldn’t have helped found the Legion, adopt Anastasia and Pualani, or become the person I am today." He decided that that was enough of being off topic and perked up out of his reflective, nostalgic state.

"What are our plans for now? We should call a meeting to see who is still here at least. Should we still ask our members if they'd want to continue and keep this as a back-up plan; have a vote?" The beast couldn't think of any adults who would protest. Bulf....was Bulf. Iris didn't seem the sort to protest and she had a daughter too. Valravn would be open to being protected. Rynumen...he didn't know. Hail, Forseti, and Akeela hadn't been seen for a while. And Randavae....well he didn’t seem particularly receptive to anything so Stars and Spirits knew how the boy would react.

"Though I can't see anyone voting to stay together. But we should tell them where we are going but let them decide if they want to find another realm." The man was a planner and his mind worked seven steps ahead.

"The only thing I worry about is all of us coming up to the border to ask to join. While it is safer for all of us with children, it might be viewed as hostile at first. But, showing up at the borders with our children would make them more sympathetic. And make things easier in the long run."

"What do you think?"

"DON'T TELL ME I'M OVERREACTING WHEN YOU DON'T KNOW WHAT THE HELL I'VE BEEN THROUGH"

Kallisto listened rather intently as he told his story. Personally, she believed the man had come a long way and if anything she would vouch for him. He helped her mate found this wonderful place and if it weren't for that, their relationship would have never happened. Then again, maybe the tigress would still be around if they had never met.

A frown crossed her face at the thought but she shook it away, looking back to Perses. "I understand. If you two had never planned the Legion and started it, I probably would have never met Akeela and had my kids." She nodded her head, as she understood him. Kallisto may not had walked in his paw steps and along his story, but she did understand the feeling of it all.

However, Perses plan was once again what she had been thinking. The Queen would never just leave her members and force them out on their own or to jump a foreign realm. Choices were to be respected, and so she nodded her head once again. "Yes, perhaps a mandatory meeting and whoever doesn't show we can assume has left our ranks. If we know they haven't, we'll look but I am sure most if not all the members will go along with the plan. All of them are smart enough to know when its best to give up and be taken under anothers wing." Of course, she hoped that was how things would go.

At the talk of them all showing up at the borders together and such, Kallisto almost snorted out a laugh. "They could see it as a possible raid of sorts. I would say either you or I go to their borders alone and explain our situation before we even call a meeting. That way we know if they'd even accept those out of this realm."

Perses Stormbringer ❊
The North Remembers

Perses was relieved that Kallisto took the story of his past as well as Akeela had. He wondered what would happen if they had never founded the Legion. But now it was falling. Was it all a folly? It had lasted not much longer than a year, actually pretty close to two.

The Storm King agreed with Kallisto's plan with a nod. He wondered how many were left. Perhaps, the Stormbringer family and the Royal family was all that was left. Maybe this was a good decision. He hoped that things would work out. They had to.

The Bear Queen also had a good plan of action. He struggled with the idea. He had a rapport with the Kingdom and had formerly called it home. He also had the Psychic magic to help prove his case. And Perses had Valravn to watch his children. He didn't know if Kallisto trusted another to watch her children. He had an idea.

"I could go," the crimson-eyed King suggested. "I could speak to Commander Regalia or Queen Frigga. Perhaps maybe King Herleif* or King Xewk. I know them from my time at the Kingdom. If needed, I could show them my memories in case they need proof."

"Do you have any suggestions as to what message should be delivered?" The beast paused. "Where will we go if they do not accept us?" They had to consider all options possible.
