Welcome Guest,
Pardon our ads; they're necessary to keep this site running. Thank you for your understanding! Many sites boast a wonderful memberbase, but here at Yavania we pride ourselves on our community. We work hard to provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere, making sure every member and guest is greeted and included in the fun, both OC and IC. Our staff is active, friendly, and almost always available. We are a sandbox roleplay, but we have many sitewide events to spice things up! We have very few limitations when it comes to character creation, and New Members get a huge bonus! We offer a vast spectrum of free-to-play creatures, including but not limited to wolves, lions, hyenas, panda bears, wild dogs, clouded leopards, ball pythons, and eagles! Check out our Overview Guide and Character Creation to see what other species you can play! If the magic system seems overwhelming, don't worry. You do not have to build a character with magic. If you want to, however, we're available to help! Just drop into cbox. ♥

How lost can you be?

Strange sounds filled tiny ears as they swiveled about. She was lost but that was no hard feat when you have no idea where you are going. She had crossed a strange smell a bit back, but was not aware it was the boarder to a realm. After all, she was a child still. Unaware of the rules and realms. Unaware of the dangers she could find.

After a bit of walking, tiny paws slowed to a stop. Eyes scanning the world around her with child like wonder. Tiny white river otter found herself acting as any child. Though she was cautious, she was curious. As such she was not easily deterred from her path.

Pink nose twitch with each scent she picked up. The child simply wished to see more of this place. Alas, her feet were sore from walking all this time. After all, she was not much for walking. She never had been, really.

Wnire preferred to swim. In water she felt free. Felt faster and more graceful. On land she was fast, for her species. Yet, she was not as happy on land. Maybe that was just because she could play more in water. There were fish to chase and play with.

On land she was alone. As the little river otter sat there taking things in around her, it was the one thing on her mind. She was, so terribly, alone.

Mordo
The Fool Who Knows He’s A Fool Is That Much Wiser.

The king had been apprehending the decorates of patrols when the sight of a child forthcame, their obliviousness to Kamar-Taj's borders more obvious than not. He did not expect to find such tomfoolery here, yet despite it all, the man felt little need to condemn a dispute if they didn’t understand simple rules. A brow came up, cordial and conventional as tangerine eyes befell the river otter’s petite frame –– he had no intentions to scold, however –– glow slaved away, aping a subtle flare without rhythm or rhyme. “Hello,” It bellowed in rich content, baritone rumbles luring like charms as he softened it with a smile; in spite of knowing they’d done wrong, there’d be no use in reprimanding. He, for one, confided in politics as opposed to tyranny or otherwise, “I’m Mordo, King of Kamar-Taj. Are you lost?” A genuine question, felted by enquiry and curiosity -- it wasn’t often that a babe wandered in from the strays of Yavania. The buddhist wasn’t concerned, however, for they hadn’t been faced with underlying problems for moons, the last being an abduction he no longer spoke of. Why, there was no point dwelling on what cannot be undone. That, of course, was how he continued to do what was best. If it were to happen again, the man wouldn’t be so sure that action will remain unearthed; he would ensure no harm came to his family again. Rational at most, that did not mean he wouldn’t do what was necessary.

Anyhow, if it was a home they needed, then so be it.

Mordo’s tail flicked in gentle rapport, therein taking a seat to accommodate a more calming approach –– dressed in reels of charcoal, appearance can be quite deceiving. He knew this all too well.

Ratonhnhake:ton
The Tragedy Of Life Is Not Death

It had been a long while since he had walked along the shores of his home.. And now as he did it he was brought back to the first time he had ventured onto the shores of Kamar-Taj, how long ago it seemed now.. How different everything felt. He was comfortable with living now, free from the constant burden of fearing that his brother would show up and cause trouble.. He had freed himself from the prison that he had formed. Before he would have scoffed at the very idea that he would ever make friends, that he would ever be comfortable speaking to others.. That he would ever have feelings for another...

The pebbles shifted underpaw as he walked in silence.. The sound of the water moving and the sound of the pebbles crunching under-paw was soothing to him, it was a noise he sought after and yearned for whenever he was away from home.. Surely, he should spend more time here..

It wasn't long before he picked up the scent of something new as well as the mingled scent of the Realm's king. Curiosity pricked his mind and he began to head the direction the scents were coming from and soon came upon them. The dark furred lion as well as something small before him, a tiny creature.. A baby? he thought to himself That's odd.. where did it come from?

Quietly he moved towards the two attempting to pause 5feet away from them. "Greetings King Mordo." he said in his usual quiet manner as he dipped his head respectfully to the lion before turning his eyes onto the small creature. It was a small thing and despite his distaste for small children it was rather cute. "Hello little one." he said to it, his own gaze softening.

But What We Let Die Inside Of Us While We Live
He Walks. "He Talks."

It was a sudden sound that startled the child out of her wide eyes scanning of the lands. The child almost missed the beast of shadowy grey's and blacks. The child found herself tensing her muscles. She had never seen a creature like this one and everything in her wanted to run away. Yet, she knew when one spoke to you, it was best not to be rude. She figured that if this creature wanted her dead, she would very much be just that.

Dead and snacked upon with no way to stop it. Wnire was, as any child discovering new things, both curious and scared. But, unlike most children, she didn't ask a million questions. No. That was not her style and never would be. At least, not to strangers.

"Hello." Soft voice replied in tone laced with uncertainty. Her words hardly above a whisper in volume. "I'm Wnire and.. She found herself pausing. Was she lost?

On the one paw, maybe if she said yes they could help her or she could stay with them. After all, she was no hunter. That, along with the fear of what might happen if she said no. That was on the other paw. So, she would give her answer.

"Yes sir. I am, but I don't know where I belong either." Soft voice reached back out to the male before her. Then came another, different compared to the male before her now. This one looked much different in fact.

This male greeted the king and she could put enough together to understand. They knew each other. Then, she heard him greet her as well. Pink optics shifting away from the first to lock on the second. "Hello." She returned in same soft voice. Her heart was racing as she waited to see what would happen now.
