She figured it would be okay to head out of the Kingdom for a bit. Even to get out of the rain, really. Mononoke frowned as she went, Herleif would be fine with the kids for now, right? As she walked, her Wings wrapped tightly to her side. She figured she would get some flight practice in, while everyone else was busy staying inside out of the rain. A bit of water still clung to her, but she was mostly only damp. She could hear the thunder in neighbouring lands, tilting her to look. Lightning was not visible though, but it sure was a beautiful sight to see when it was far enough away.
Mononoke paused, widening her stance as she outstretched those beautiful wings. The sun shone off of them, in a split second thought she supposed it could make her look like an angel. 'If she didn't look like such a freak of nature.' She began forward, wings flapping in order to help her lift off. Would it work? Would she fail? She didn't know.
She managed to get air and glide, but only after a few more moments did she touch down. Mono wanted full flight, she wanted to be able to fly. She wanted to be able to safely make her way places, in a much more efficient way than walking. Flight would be faster all around, yes? She would prepare her wings once again, focusing hard. She breathed in deeply, drawing in as much air as she could possibly muster. Her wings were spread, ready and for a moment she would look around to make sure no one was watching.
That was in the case that she failed once again and face planted. Now, that was definitely not something that she wanted anyone to see. Maybe when she could actually fly she would show her kids, show Herleif. She could only imagine how proud they would be of her. This thought sent a surge of energy through her, pure excitement for what was to come. Despite being an adult, she still felt like a kid at heart. With that said, she would push off the ground towards the sky. Come on, come on you can do this!
